Topics Employee Engagement, Performance Management and My Best Boss Ever Featured Speakers Leslie Dermann Leslie Dermann is a long-term Commerce Banker with a wide variety of human resources experience including salary and benefits administration, recruiting, training, and employee relations.  She's currently one of three Regional Human Resources Directors for Commerce. Working with five local Human Resources Managers, she has responsibility for the Community Markets of Commerce Bank in central  Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas. Along with other members of Human Resources Senior Management at Commerce, she develops policies and practices in compliance with changing employment laws. She also periodically develops and delivers updates on employment law to Commerce managers and supervisors. Leslie writes and maintains Commerce employee information, handbook and policy manual which are in electronic format. Leslie is a proud Cornhusker and a 1972 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Rory Rowland Rory Rowland is a business consultant and dynamic seminar leader specializing in programs for financial institutions and banks on lending, technology, leadership, and communications skills. After serving as president of two financial institutions in Missouri, Rory began using his communications skills and specialized background to help financial and business organizations become more effective. Rory has presented his high energy, fun and humorous programs in all 50 states over the past 10 years as well as Canada and Mexico Rory is continually one of the most highly rated speakers at state and national associations throughout the country. He holds an MBA in Finance and a BS degree in Economics.
