22nd Annual Dodge City Days
Backyard Barbeque Contest

ENTRY FEE
$25 per meat item
if registration is completed before July 25th
$30 per meat item
if registration is completed on or after July 25th

RULES
All teams must check in before 9:00 am at Wright Park on Saturday, July 27th. This includes cook and team members. Any cook or team members entering the park after 9:00 am will be charged admission. Only one vehicle with parking permit will be allowed at the campsite. Permits will be handed out at registration. Judging begins at 2:30 pm. Entry fee is $25 for each meat item entered ($30 after July 24th). Each item must be entered under a seperate team name and must be a meat item! Teams must submit enough meat for six judges to sample. Entries are judged by appearance, tenderness, texture and taste. The taste score is doubled. Judging ranges from nine being the highest to one being the lowest. Backyard contestants may use gas, wood or charcoal fires. No pits, open holes or digging of any kind. There is no electricity available. Tables and chairs will not be provided. Have a great time!

WAIVER OF LIABILITY
In consideration of your acceptance of this application, I (we) the undersigned, intending to be legally bound, hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages, I (we) may have against Black Hills Energy, City of Dodge City, Dodge City Area Chamber of Commerce, Cargill Meat Solutions, Comfort Inn of Dodge City, Fidelity State Bank, J.A.G. Construction Co., Johnny on the Spot, Kansas City Barbeque Society, Kennedy McKee & Co., Dr. McFadden, National Beef, Northend Disposal, Pepsi-Cola of Dodge City, Q97 FM Radio, Swaim Funeral Home, Village Square Mall or its Merchants, Western Beverage/Budweiser, and or agents authorized by them, to use any photographs, recipes, video tapes, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for legitimate purpose.
