About Us

Dodge City Roundup, Inc was established in 1977 for the purpose of bringing professional rodeo to Dodge City, Kansas.  Not only did the founders want professional rodeo but they wanted a top class rodeo.  They used the services of World Champion Jim Shoulders and later Hall of Fame rodeo stock contractor Harry Vold.  The Vold Rodeo Company is still the stock contractor.  They have had the likes of Hall of Fame announcer Clem McSpadden and now have announcer of the year Boyd Polhamus.  By each year increasing the payout to the contestants the rodeo has grown in stature and reputation.  It has won Large Rodeo Committee of the Year an amazing nine times and was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in July 2012.  The Dodge City Roundup Rodeo attracts the very best contestants and the committee contracts with the best rodeo acts in the industry.  This rodeo is definitely the Rodeo of Champions and the Greatest Show on Dirt.
